Who is God? God is Hope- Part 3

So where is our hope found?

True hope is found only in Jesus Christ!

The writer of Hebrews says:

"Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;" - Hebrews 6:19

An anchor keeps a ship from drifting when the storm comes. Our hope in Christ keeps our hearts steady when life becomes difficult.

The apostle Peter reminds us, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." I Peter 1:3

Because Jesus lives, our hope is ALIVE! Hope does not mean our problems disappear immediately. Hope means we trust that God is faithful through every circumstance.

David reminds us:

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalms 27:14

Every night eventually gives way to morning. No matter how long the darkness seems, the sun always rises.

In the same way, God's faithfulness never fails. Keep your eyes on Him, trust His promises, and remember David's words:

"Hope thou in God." Psalms 43:5
